1. Paradise Island, The Bahamas
I have always wanted to go here for my honeymoon. It just looks like the perfect destination, with white sands and turquoise clear waters. Composed of over 700 islands, the Bahamas is a stunning location situated close by to Florida. Atlantis, pictured above, is a huge resort in Paradise island, and it looks and sounds incredible, with 21 restaurants, 19 bars, 11 swimming pools and it even has it's own water park. I found some images of wedding venues at the particular hotel, and they look absolutely amazing, though very pricey. The hotel is very expensive, with it being such a well-known hotel, however, I would definitely love to save up and visit Paradise Island.
2. The Northern Lights (Sweden/Finland/Norway/Iceland)
I would love to see the Northern lights, and this hotel/village in Finland looks incredible. This hotel and igloo village is in the Kakslauttanen Resort, Northern Lapland, and has over 20 glass igloos. They look so cosy too! The Aurora Borealis can be viewed from glass igloos or even luxury suites.
According to visitfinland.com, the Northern Lights are visible on around 200 nights a year in Finnish Lapland, meaning that you would stand a good chance of seeing them if you took a week long trip. Some traditional ways to go Northern Lights spotting are snowmobiling, cross-country skiing or sled dog touring. Even if you didn't get to see the Northern Lights, I still think it would be an amazing experience as there is plenty more to do.
Japan is somewhere that I would like to visit for the architecture and scenery. It is so different to England, so it would be great to visit to see something really different. I haven't really looked into this too much - it would have to be somewhere to visit a bit later on in life, but it is a must-see for me.
4. African Safari
This has always been something that I would love to do, with being a big fan of going to zoos! I'd just love to see the animals in their natural environment though, and take a long tour around Kenya and Tanzania to see them. Virgin Holidays do some great tours where you stay at a variety of hotels along the way - a great way to see a bit of everything.
5. New York
New York is definitely a must-see for me - I would love to go here soon, just to see all of those famous sites and places that you see in films (and Friends!). I would love to go to the top of the Empire State building at night to see the skyline lit up, go to see a Broadway show, and of course, shop on Fifth Avenue.
