Spring/Summer 14 favourite trend: the midriff trend

So, the midriff trend has already been around for a few seasons now, but this summer the trend is set out to be even bigger, with many designers having matching top and bottoms in their collections. I have always loved this trend for summer, as you don't have to be skinny to pull it off; it is the most flattering part of your body, so if you wear it correctly then it's a really flattering look.

Jil Sander SS 14

House of Holland SS 14

Michael Kors SS 14

Michael Kors SS 14

Some of my favourite looks from the catwalk are pictured above. Jil Sander has created a very sophisticated silhouette, and the flared top ensures that the midriff looks really slim. I love this outfit, and would definitely wear it if I had the chance!

House of Holland have created a very fun look, with matching prints and sharp, clean lines giving a tailored look.

I also love these two Michael Kors outfits, particularly the matching bold khaki prints, and the plain khaki cardigan.
